A Classic Style in the Softest Lambswool
Originating on the Aran Islands off the Irish coast, the Aran jumper is an iconic menswear style worn by Hollywood legends like Steve McQueen, Elvis Presley and Robert Redford. Our unique version recreates the classic style with Sunspel’s exceptional Scottish lambswool.
Sourced from one of Scotland’s oldest spinners, our thick, luxurious yarn is crafted with the softest superfine Geelong lambswool. It’s knitted by specialists in Dumfriesshire using unique knitting machines that can achieve our specific garter stitch and cable pattern. Drawing on centuries of Scottish knitwear heritage, the final piece is washed in naturally soft spring water to loosen the yarn’s fibres, transforming them from tough and rigid to beautifully soft, light and smooth. The result is a timeless classic which is exceptionally comfortable to wear.

“That’s the beauty of jumpers like these. They are passed down the generations.”
Matt Hranek
